ANALISIS PENGETAHUAN GIZI PRAKEHAMILAN WUS DAN FAKTOR RISIKO TERHADAP STATUS GIZI SEBAGAI UPAYA MENURUNKAN RISIKO KEHAMILAN PERSALINAN DAN NIFAS
Abstract
Pregnancy women with Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) are a determinant of the risk of nutritional and health problems in newborns. Inadequate nutritional intake during pre-pregnancy can increase the risk of Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED), anemia, pregnancy complications, labor and postpartum complications, and low birth weight (LBW). UNICEF findings (2023) in the report Maternal Nutrition in Indonesia: Landscape Analysis and Recommendations state that Indonesia remains at risk of facing a double burden of malnutrition among women of reproductive age. UNICEF reports that approximately 1 in 6 women of reproductive age in Indonesia are wasted or energy deficient, reflecting the still high risk of CED among women of reproductive age. The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of knowledge of women of childbearing age about preconception nutrition and risk factors related to nutritional status. This type of research is a cross-sectional study with primary and secondary data. The population of this study was women of childbearing age in the research area totaling 60 people. The research variables include independent variables, namely knowledge, education, employment, and economic status while the dependent variable is the nutritional status of women of childbearing age. The results of the study showed a significant relationship between knowledge and nutritional status of women with a p value of 0.027, there was a significant relationship between education level and nutritional status of women with a p value of 0.021, there was a significant relationship between employment status and nutritional status of women with a p value of 0.008, there was a significant relationship between economic status and nutritional status of women with a p value of 0.008. The results of statistical tests stated that there was a relationship between knowledge, education, employment, and economic status with nutritional status of women. It is hoped that this research can provide input for health workers to improve services, particularly in providing IEC on preconception nutrition to prepare for a safe and risk-free pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum period, and breastfeeding.
