Archiving

OJS supports LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe). A system for archiving journals permanently and safely. LOCKSS is an open source software developed at the Library of Stanford University that allows libraries to maintain selected journal websites by collecting regular data backups from registered journal websites for newly published content and filing them.

LOCKSSOpen Journal Systems supports the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to ensure a secure and permanent archive for journal content. If your journal has been accepted to archive content in the Global LOCKSS Network or participates in a Private LOCKSS Network other than the PKP PN, enable it here:

Each archive is continuously validated against other library caches, and if content is found to be damaged or missing, other caches or journals are used to save it. Apart from that, the Archiving System was integrated with national and DIKTI libraries, Copernicus ICI and scholar.archive
